Pakistan’s Crushing Reply to India: Five Warplanes Downed, Brigade HQ Destroyed, Full Retaliatory Authority Granted by National Security Committee

In a forceful and calculated response to unprovoked Indian aggression, Pakistan’s armed forces downed five Indian fighter jets, eliminated a combat drone, and destroyed a key Indian brigade headquarters, sending a clear message that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with overwhelming force.

An emergency session of the National Security Committee (NSC), chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, concluded  with a unanimous decision to authorize the armed forces to deliver a full-spectrum response to India’s belligerence. The meeting was attended by senior military leadership, federal ministers, and key national security officials.

According to the official communiqué, the NSC reviewed the grave situation following India’s “cowardly and unwarranted” military actions. The committee offered prayers for the martyrs, extended condolences to the bereaved families, and prayed for the swift recovery of the wounded.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while taking note of the evolving security situation, announced his intention to address the National Assembly to take lawmakers into confidence over India’s aggression and Pakistan’s resolute counteroffensive.

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that Pakistan’s retaliatory strikes were deliberate and effective. “We will decide the time and place of our response. That decision is ours alone,” he declared, adding that the Indian military was met with a scale of precision and force it could not withstand.

According to the DG ISPR, Pakistan Air Force and ground units shot down three Rafale jets, one MiG-29, one Sukhoi aircraft, and a combat drone in targeted engagements over Bhatinda, Akhnoor, Awantipora, and occupied Srinagar. The aircraft were brought down while attempting incursions into Pakistani airspace.

In coordinated strikes, Pakistani forces also destroyed key Indian military infrastructure, including a brigade headquarters involved in ceasefire violations. Among the Indian army posts reduced to rubble were Chhatri Post, Jora Post, and Shahpur Three Post—each identified as part of India’s provocative strategy along the Line of Control.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, speaking to the media, confirmed the destruction of five Indian warplanes and assured that all Pakistani aircraft had returned safely. “Pakistan has established operational and strategic superiority. Our forces have proven their capability beyond doubt,” he said.

Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, underscored the psychological impact of Pakistan’s retaliation. “India attacked under cover of night and fled in broad daylight. Our response was swift, surgical, and symbolic of our strength. India’s white flag is not just a signal of retreat—it is an admission of defeat,” he said.

Pakistan’s civil and military leadership remains in close coordination, with the government reaffirming its unshakable resolve to defend every inch of the homeland. The armed forces have been placed on full alert, and Pakistan has made it clear that peace cannot be ensured through weakness.
