Beijing Stands by Islamabad as India Faces Heat Over Pahalgam False Flag Allegations

Pahalgam False Flag, India, Pakistan

In a strong display of diplomatic solidarity, China has reiterated its firm support for Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability in South Asia, particularly in the wake of rising regional tensions following India’s controversial actions and the alleged Pahalgam false flag operation.

During a high-level meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong assured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that Beijing will continue standing “like a rock” with Pakistan. The two discussed growing challenges in the region, with China backing Pakistan’s call for transparent international investigation into the Pahalgam incident.

Prime Minister Sharif thanked China for its consistent and principled stance, and expressed appreciation for the support in exposing India’s attempts to destabilise the region. He also conveyed warm regards for Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.

Highlighting Pakistan’s sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism, Sharif stated that over 90,000 lives have been lost and $152 billion in economic damage endured to protect not just Pakistan but the international community. He strongly condemned India’s use of water as a weapon and accused New Delhi of attempting to deflect attention from Pakistan’s counter-terrorism gains.

“These aggressive actions are aimed at undermining our ongoing operations against TTP, BLA, and other militant outfits,” he noted, warning that unilateral deviation from the Indus Waters Treaty is unacceptable.

Sharif emphasized that the peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with UN Security Council resolutions is crucial for lasting peace in South Asia. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
