Pakistan’s security forces eliminated four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following an intense exchange of fire, local sources said.
The operation was launched after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area. Security personnel engaged the suspects, resulting in the elimination of four terrorists after a fierce gun battle.
A substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the operation site, indicating the presence of an armed terrorist network in the area.
Security forces have launched a clearance operation to search the surrounding areas for any remaining terrorists or possible hideouts. The operation will continue until the area is completely cleared.
The successful operation is another effort by Pakistan’s security forces to dismantle terrorist networks and prevent them from using the region as a base for hostile activities.
