Security forces have eliminated three terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan, identified as the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), during an intelligence-based search and clearance operation in the Sunni area of Sibi, Balochistan, security information said.
The operation was launched on the basis of confirmed intelligence about the presence of the terrorists in the area. During the clearance action, security personnel targeted the hideout, eliminating three terrorists and destroying the facility.
A cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was also recovered from the hideout, indicating that the location was being used to store weapons and explosives. The recovery could help investigators establish the nature of the group’s preparations and identify possible links to other terrorist activities.
The destruction of the hideout and seizure of the explosives stockpile have dealt a blow to the group’s operational infrastructure in the area. IEDs pose a particular threat to security personnel and civilians, as such devices can be used in attacks on patrols, security installations and public routes.
The operation was intelligence-led, highlighting the importance of timely information in locating terrorist hideouts and disrupting their activities before they can be used to plan or execute attacks.
No further details were immediately available regarding the identities of the eliminated terrorists, the quantity of weapons and explosives recovered, or whether any security personnel were injured during the operation.
Sibi and other parts of Balochistan have faced security challenges linked to terrorist violence. The latest operation underscores efforts to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and prevent armed groups from using concealed facilities to store weapons and prepare attacks.
