Security forces eliminated nine terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan in two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Kachhi and Wadh districts on October 26, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the military’s media wing, the first operation was conducted in Kachhi District following information about the presence of terrorists. During the operation, security forces busted a terrorist hideout and, after an intense exchange of fire, eliminated seven Indian-sponsored terrorists.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the hideout, ISPR said.

In a separate intelligence-based operation in Wadh District, security forces tracked and intercepted terrorist movement. An intense exchange of fire followed, resulting in the elimination of two more Indian-sponsored terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were recovered in this operation as well.

Sanitization operations were underway in both areas to locate and eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists who might be present, according to ISPR.

The military’s media wing said Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam would continue at full pace. The initiative was approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan and aims to eliminate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

The operations underscore the continued focus of security forces and law enforcement agencies on disrupting terrorist networks in Balochistan, where attacks on security personnel, civilians and infrastructure remain a major security concern.
