Security forces and counterterrorism personnel have carried out a major operation against Khwarij across multiple areas of Bannu, dismantling hideouts, destroying camps and underground bunkers, and recovering explosives and other equipment.

The operation covered areas within the jurisdictions of Domel and Township police stations, including Sparka, Akbar Ali Khan, Janan Khel, Painda Khel, Sada Khel and Jhandu Khel, along with adjoining localities.

Bannu Police, Lakki Marwat Police, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and security forces participated in the operation, using drone cameras to scan the area and identify potential terrorist hideouts.

During the clearance operation, hideouts concealed in forested areas were demolished, while underground bunkers and terrorist camps were destroyed. Explosives and other equipment were also recovered.

Several suspects were taken into custody for further interrogation. Investigations are underway to determine their possible links to terrorist networks and activities in the region.

The operation forms part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, disrupt the movement of Khwarij and prevent them from using remote and forested areas as bases for terrorist activities.
