Terrorists, Orakzai Counterterrorism Operation, Terrorists Neutralized

Police and Orakzai Scouts have neutralized 10 terrorists affiliated with a banned organization during a joint counterterrorism operation in Orakzai district, following an incident in which terrorists blocked the Sangra Main Road, police said.

According to the Orakzai police spokesperson, the operation was conducted within the jurisdiction of Mishti Mela Police Station, in the Banjali area near the Khyber-Akhakhel border.

The operation followed a road blockade by armed terrorists on Sangra Main Road a day earlier, prompting police and Orakzai Scouts to launch a joint action against the suspected terrorist elements operating in the area.

Police said the operation resulted in the elimination of 10 terrorists. Personnel from the two forces brought the bodies of two of those killed with them, while further details about the identities of the remaining individuals were not immediately available.

The operation aimed to dismantle terrorist activity in the area and prevent further threats to public safety and security. The road blockade had raised concerns over the movement of residents and the ability of armed groups to disrupt normal activity along key routes.

Orakzai police said counterterrorism operations would continue to protect residents, safeguard their property and prevent hostile elements from undermining law and order.

Further details about the operation, including the identity of the banned organization and any weapons or equipment recovered, were not immediately available.
