A tragic and cowardly attack by Khwarij militants on a police party took place at New Karpa, resulting in the martyrdom of SHO Daud Khan of Banda Daud Shah Police Station and police gunner Farhad, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
According to preliminary reports, armed Khwarij militants launched a sudden and indiscriminate attack on the police party at New Karpa. The police personnel came under intense firing during the incident, resulting in the martyrdom of SHO Daud Khan and Gunner Farhad.
Following the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) Karak, Imran Khan, immediately reached the area along with additional police contingents. The DPO personally reviewed the situation and directed the deployment of additional personnel to secure the area and pursue the attackers.
A comprehensive search and combing operation has been launched in the surrounding area to track down and apprehend the Khwarij militants involved in the attack. Security forces and police personnel have also established checkpoints and cordoned off the area, while intensified efforts are underway to prevent the attackers from escaping.
Police teams are conducting a systematic search of the surrounding localities and possible escape routes. The operation will continue until the perpetrators are traced and brought to justice.
