Security Forces Destroy Multiple Khawarij Hideouts and Underground Tunnels in North Waziristan

Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan targeting hideouts and underground infrastructure used by Khawarij elements, according to security sources. The operation was launched on the basis of actionable intelligence regarding the presence and movement of Khawarij elements in the area. During the carefully coordinated operation, multiple Khawarij hideouts and underground tunnels were identified and destroyed, disrupting the concealed infrastructure available to the group.

According to security sources, the operation also led to the recovery of a substantial quantity of explosive material from the targeted area. The recovery highlights the scale of the threat posed by concealed explosive stockpiles and the importance of systematic search and clearance operations following intelligence-based actions.

During the subsequent search operation, additional explosive material was recovered and safely neutralized with the assistance of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). Specialized personnel carried out the necessary procedures to render the recovered material harmless, thereby reducing the potential threat to security personnel and local residents.

Security sources have also reported that multiple Khawarij were killed during the operation. The exact number of casualties is being ascertained, with further details expected to be released following verification.

Following the successful intelligence-based action, search and clearance operations remain underway across the surrounding area. The objective is to locate any remaining Khawarij elements, identify additional concealed infrastructure, and ensure that no explosive material or other threat remains hidden in the area.

The destruction of underground tunnels and hideouts represents a significant disruption to the Khawarij’s ability to conceal personnel, store explosive material, and use such facilities for hostile activities.

Security Forces continue to employ intelligence-led operations, surveillance, search, and clearance measures to identify and dismantle Khawarij networks and their operational infrastructure. The latest action reflects the continued resolve of the security apparatus to deny hostile elements the ability to establish safe havens or exploit remote areas for terrorist activities.

Security Forces remain committed to the complete elimination of terrorism and the establishment of sustainable peace and stability across the region. Operations will continue as required to safeguard the local population and prevent Khawarij elements from regrouping or re-establishing their infrastructure.
