The Corps Commander Quetta has reaffirmed the security forces’ commitment to ensuring lasting peace and stability in Balochistan, stressing that measures against terrorism will continue until the elimination of the last terrorist.
The Corps Commander made these remarks during a special interaction with representatives of the Pakistani media, where the delegation was given a detailed briefing on the overall security environment in Balochistan, the prevailing law-and-order situation and the security challenges confronting the province.
During the meeting, the participants discussed a wide range of issues relating to peace and stability in Balochistan, including ongoing security measures, counterterrorism operations and efforts aimed at strengthening the overall security environment across the province.
The Corps Commander briefed the media representatives on the measures being undertaken to counter security threats and maintain law and order in different parts of Balochistan. The briefing highlighted the continued efforts of security forces to address terrorism and other security challenges while creating conditions conducive to sustainable peace and stability.
The Corps Commander emphasised that all possible measures are being taken to establish lasting peace in the province and protect the lives and property of its people. He reiterated that security efforts would continue until the terrorist threat has been effectively eliminated, underscoring the resolve of the security forces to prevent terrorist elements from undermining peace and stability in Balochistan.
As part of the visit, members of the media delegation were also given an opportunity to observe weapons, ammunition and other material seized during operations against terrorists. The display provided journalists with an insight into the nature of the security challenges faced by the province and the material recovered during counterterrorism operations.
The interaction also provided an opportunity for media representatives to gain a broader understanding of the operational and security environment in which security forces are working to counter terrorist threats.
The Corps Commander Quetta stressed that security and development remain closely interconnected priorities for Balochistan. He said that while maintaining law and order remains essential, the province’s journey towards economic and social development will continue alongside security efforts.
According to the Corps Commander, every possible measure is being taken to establish sustainable peace, stability and development in Balochistan. Following the interaction with the Corps Commander, the media delegation also paid a special visit to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta, where members of the delegation met security personnel injured during ongoing operations against terrorism in Balochistan. The journalists inquired about the health and wellbeing of the injured personnel and expressed their appreciation for their sacrifices and services in the line of duty. The visit offered the media representatives an opportunity to meet the personnel receiving medical care and to observe first-hand the human cost associated with security operations against terrorist threats.
The Corps Commander reiterated that security forces remain committed to protecting the people of Balochistan and maintaining peace across the province. He stressed that efforts to counter terrorism, strengthen law and order and create an environment of stability would continue with full resolve.
