Security Forces Shoot Down Four Afghan Taliban Regime Drones Along the Balochistan Border: ISPR

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces, has announced that Pakistan’s air defence system successfully detected, intercepted, and destroyed four primitive unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that entered Pakistani airspace from across the Afghanistan border in the province of Balochistan.

According to the ISPR, on 30 June 2026, the Afghan Taliban regime, in what Pakistan describes as a continuation of its alleged patronage of terrorist organizations operating from territory under its control, launched four basic-category drones toward Pakistan’s western border. The attempted intrusion was immediately identified by Pakistan’s vigilant and technologically advanced air defence network.

Demonstrating exceptional operational preparedness, professionalism, and rapid response capabilities, Pakistan’s security forces employed modern defensive measures to successfully neutralize all four drones before they could pose any threat to the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, or civilian population. The swift and effective response completely thwarted what Pakistan described as hostile intentions behind the cross-border drone activity.

The ISPR stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully alert and maintain a high level of operational readiness to counter any form of aerial or cross-border aggression. The successful interception reflects the strength, effectiveness, and reliability of Pakistan’s integrated air defence architecture and the unwavering commitment of its armed forces to safeguarding national security.

The statement further asserted that the Afghan Taliban regime’s repeated engagement in such actions appears intended to divert public attention from the significant political, economic, and humanitarian challenges confronting the Afghan people. Rather than resorting to provocative actions or issuing inflammatory statements, the Afghan authorities were urged to focus on addressing the pressing concerns of their own citizens.

Pakistan also called upon the Afghan Taliban administration to immediately cease any alleged support or facilitation of terrorist organizations operating from Afghan territory. The ISPR emphasized that lasting regional peace and stability can only be achieved through responsible state conduct, mutual respect for sovereignty, and adherence to the principles of peaceful coexistence and international obligations.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s longstanding position on regional security, the statement underscored that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, any cross-border provocation, or any attempt to endanger the lives and property of its citizens will receive an immediate, decisive, and proportionate response.

The ISPR further warned that should the Afghan Taliban continue acts of provocation or permit cross-border hostile activities against Pakistan, the consequences will be severe and they will bear full responsibility for any escalation resulting from such actions.

Pakistan reiterated that its Armed Forces remain fully prepared, vigilant, and resolute in defending every inch of the country’s territory against any external threat. The military reaffirmed that all acts of cross-border aggression, incursions, or hostile activities targeting Pakistan’s sovereignty or public safety will continue to be dealt with swiftly and decisively under Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, in accordance with the country’s national security imperatives.

The Pakistan Armed Forces reaffirm their unwavering commitment to protecting the nation’s sovereignty, preserving regional stability, and ensuring the safety and security of the people of Pakistan through robust defensive capabilities, operational excellence, and an uncompromising resolve against all forms of aggression and terrorism.
