In yet another cowardly act aimed at disrupting peace and stability, Khawarij elements carried out a quadcopter attack targeting a Frontier Corps (FC) post in the Baka Khel area of Bannu district.
According to initial reports, at approximately 11:45 AM on June 21, 2026, Khawarij operatives employed a quadcopter to drop an explosive shell near an FC post located in the vicinity of Syedgi, Takhti Khel area, under the jurisdiction of Baka Khel Police Station.
The attack resulted in minor injuries to Naib Subedar Karamat, who was immediately provided medical attention and is reported to be in stable condition. No fatalities or significant damage to operational infrastructure were reported.
Security officials condemned the attack, describing it as a desperate attempt by Khawarij elements to target state institutions and undermine the hard-earned peace achieved through the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security forces and citizens. Despite the use of emerging tactics and technologies by hostile elements, security forces remain fully prepared and capable of countering all threats to national security.
