Drone Attack by Khawarij Targets Police Convoy in Karak’s Darg Shahidan Area; Multiple Personnel Injured

In a serious security incident in District Karak, a police convoy was targeted in a drone/quadcopter attack by Khawarij near Darg Shahidan area, close to an FC fort. The attack resulted in injuries to multiple police personnel and damage to official vehicles.

According to police sources, the incident occurred when police teams, including CTD DSP Imran-ud-Din and DSP Banda, were engaged in a search operation in the area. During the operation, Khawarij elements launched an aerial attack using a quadcopter/drone, targeting the convoy.

As a result of the attack, more than three police personnel sustained injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Officials confirmed that the injured personnel are receiving necessary medical care.

Reports further indicate that several official vehicles were also damaged in the attack, highlighting the intensity and precision of the strike carried out by the assailants.

Police authorities have confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway to determine the nature, source, and perpetrators of the attack. Security in the surrounding areas has been further tightened, and additional forces have been deployed to prevent any further incidents.

Following the attack, law enforcement agencies have launched a comprehensive search and clearance operation in the region to trace those responsible. Security officials emphasized that such cowardly attempts will not weaken ongoing operations aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the area.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to continue search and counterterrorism operations in the region, ensuring that those involved in planning and executing such attacks are identified and brought to justice.
