Security forces launched a swift response operation after a drone strike was reported on Gurguri Police Station and the Orbashy oil and gas plant in Karak district, moving immediately to assess damage and secure the area.
Officials reached Gurguri Police Station soon after the alert and inspected the exact site where a drone-delivered explosive had impacted. The affected portion of the facility was examined on the ground as part of a rapid damage assessment.
A subsequent visit was conducted to the Orbashy oil and gas installation, where security teams reviewed the site and evaluated the condition of the energy infrastructure following the attempted strike.
Authorities confirmed that pre-existing security arrangements at Gurguri Police Station ensured no loss of life in the attack, despite the explosive impact.
Following the initial response, security personnel carried out search operations in surrounding hilly terrain near the police station and sensitive installations to clear the area of any potential threat presence.
In parallel, aerial surveillance using modern drone cameras was intensified to monitor the wider region and detect any suspicious movement, forming part of expanded countermeasures after the incident.
