A gathering reportedly organized for Fateha Khwani (prayer ceremony) in connection with slain Khariji terrorist Naseer alias Alqama, identified as a “Village Ameer” of Wanda, was dispersed by members of the local Police Committee after authorities received information regarding the event.
According to credible local sources, the deceased Khariji was recently killed during an operation conducted by security forces. Upon learning about the gathering being held in Kachi village, members of the Police Committee immediately reached the location and instructed participants to vacate the premises.
Eyewitnesses stated that committee members firmly warned attendees that no such ceremonies or public gatherings glorifying or honoring Khawarij or terrorists would be tolerated in the future. Officials reportedly conveyed a clear message that any activity perceived as support, sympathy, or public endorsement of terrorism would face strict action under the law.
A representative of the local Police Committee emphasized that the community stands united with the state and security institutions in the ongoing fight against terrorism and extremism. He stated that sacrifices rendered by the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for peace and stability must be respected, and any attempt to provide social space to extremist elements would not be allowed.
“The era of publicly honoring Khawarij is over. No individual involved in terrorism against the state and innocent citizens deserves glorification under any pretext,” a committee member reportedly said during the operation.
The incident reflects increasing vigilance by local communities and law enforcement bodies aimed at discouraging extremist narratives and preventing Khawarij from gaining public sympathy or social legitimacy.
Security analysts believe that public resistance against extremist influence at the grassroots level is an important development in strengthening long-term peace and counterterrorism efforts across the region.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and urged citizens to cooperate with security institutions by reporting any suspicious or unlawful activities linked to extremist and terrorist organizations.
