War Against Terror Will Continue with Full National Resolve: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed that Pakistan’s fight against terrorism will continue with full national strength and resolve until lasting peace and stability are achieved across the country.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a dignified awards ceremony was held at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, where military officers and personnel were decorated in recognition of exceptional bravery, operational excellence, and distinguished service to the nation.

Field Marshal Asim Munir attended the ceremony as the chief guest and conferred military honours upon officers and soldiers who demonstrated extraordinary courage during various operations. The ceremony also paid tribute to the families of martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifices and unwavering resilience.

During the event, 50 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and 12 Tamgha-e-Basalat awards were conferred upon deserving personnel. Medals awarded posthumously were received by the families of martyrs with dignity and solemn pride, underscoring the nation’s deep respect for those who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Addressing the ceremony, Field Marshal Asim Munir paid rich tribute to the martyrs and veterans, describing them as the enduring pride of the nation. He stated that their sacrifices constitute a sacred trust for every citizen of Pakistan, adding that the country’s peace, sovereignty, and security are the direct result of their unwavering dedication and supreme sacrifice.

He further commended the resilience, dignity, and strength of the families of martyrs, acknowledging their extraordinary patience and commitment in the face of immense personal loss. Their sacrifices, he said, remain a symbol of national unity and steadfast loyalty to the country.

The Chief of Defence Forces also lauded the operational preparedness and professionalism of the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies engaged in counterterrorism efforts. He reaffirmed that the armed forces remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Reiterating the national security doctrine, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized that the war against terrorism will continue with the full force of the state, involving all elements of national power, until the complete eradication of terrorist threats and the establishment of sustainable peace and stability across Pakistan.

The ceremony concluded with a renewed pledge by the armed forces to uphold the highest traditions of bravery, sacrifice, and service to the nation.
