Security forces have successfully foiled a major terror plot allegedly planned by militants associated with the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), following timely intelligence and the effective use of advanced surveillance capabilities.
According to official sources, security agencies received credible and highly sensitive intelligence indicating that a militant network was actively planning a terrorist operation in the Kardgap area of Mastung. The information reportedly originated from within the group’s own communication channels, enabling authorities to initiate immediate monitoring and verification procedures.
Acting on the intelligence, security forces launched a covert surveillance operation utilizing modern reconnaissance and technical intelligence tools to track suspected activity in the region. During continuous monitoring, authorities identified indications that the militants were preparing to deploy a vehicle-borne explosive device intended for use in a planned attack.
Officials stated that the intended target of the plot was a civilian location, with the apparent objective of causing casualties among the local population and instilling fear within the community.
In a precision-based operation, security forces successfully located and neutralized the militant hideout where the planning was underway. The suspected vehicle laden with explosives was also destroyed during the operation, preventing its potential use in any terrorist activity.
Authorities emphasized that the operation was conducted in a highly controlled and professional manner, ensuring the elimination of immediate threats while minimizing any risk to surrounding civilian areas.
Security officials further reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region, stating that intelligence-led operations against militant elements will continue with renewed intensity. They also highlighted the importance of continued cooperation from local communities in reporting suspicious activity to prevent future threats.
