Suicide Bomber, Liaqat Shaheed, Attock Suicide Attack Foiled

A local villager embraced martyrdom after stopping a suicide bomber near a check post in Punjab’s Attock district, preventing what could have been a deadly terrorist attack targeting innocent civilians.

According to local sources, the incident took place near the Mankor Check Post in Jand tehsil, where Liaqat, son of Karam Elahi, was grazing goats in the area when he noticed suspicious movement by a suicide bomber approaching the vicinity.

Sources said the attacker attempted to move towards populated surroundings and nearby security infrastructure, but Liaqat intervened without regard for his own life and tried to stop him before he could reach his intended target.

During the confrontation, the suicide bomber detonated himself, resulting in the martyrdom of Liaqat on the spot.

Local residents described Liaqat’s action as an extraordinary act of courage and sacrifice, stating that his timely intervention likely saved numerous innocent lives.

Residents and officials paid tribute to the slain villager, saying his bravery demonstrated that the spirit of sacrifice for the homeland is not limited to those in uniform, but also lives among ordinary Pakistanis willing to lay down their lives for the protection of others.

Authorities stated that further investigation into the incident is underway, while security in the surrounding area has been heightened following the blast.
