The National Resistance Front (NRF) has claimed responsibility for a targeted operation against Taliban in Afghanistan’s Farah province, resulting in the killing of two Taliban fighters.
According to NRF sources, the operation was carried out on Thursday (17 Thaur 1405) in the Farah Rud highway area at around 8 pm, where NRF fighters engaged Taliban positions in a focused strike.
The NRF stated that its forces successfully completed the operation and returned to their positions after the engagement.
The group further said it continues to conduct targeted attacks against Taliban positions across different areas, with the stated objective of what it describes as liberating the country and its population from Taliban control.
Taliban authorities have not independently confirmed the incident.
The NRF, which opposes Taliban rule in Afghanistan, has in recent months claimed responsibility for sporadic operations in multiple provinces, primarily involving hit-and-run style engagements and targeted strikes against Taliban-linked positions.
