Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan (North), Major General Muhammad Atif Mujtaba, visited the residence of martyred Major Anwar Kakar and met with the martyr’s family and children to express solidarity and condolences.

During the visit, the IG FC paid tribute to the patience, courage and sacrifice of the martyr’s family, stating that the eternal sacrifices rendered by Pakistan’s brave sons remained a source of national pride.

He offered special prayers for the martyr’s elevated ranks, forgiveness and for strength and patience for the bereaved family.

“The nation will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs, and these great sacrifices made for the defense of the homeland will always be remembered,” the IG FC said during the meeting.

Major General Atif Mujtaba also highlighted the continuing sacrifices of security personnel in the fight against terrorism in Balochistan, where officers, soldiers and civilians continue to lay down their lives to protect peace and stability.

His remarks echoed recent statements by Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, who said the Pakistan Army had no interest in targeting innocent civilians under the guise of counterterrorism operations.

Addressing students during an internship program organized by the ISPR, the DG ISPR stressed that intelligence-based operations in Balochistan were being conducted with responsibility, restraint and public support.

He had also paid tribute to Major Muhammad Anwar Kakar, recalling his role in thwarting terrorists during the Gwadar PC Hotel attack before embracing martyrdom in the line of duty.

The military spokesperson emphasized that the people of Balochistan stood against terrorism and rejected efforts aimed at alienating Baloch youth from Pakistan, adding that lasting success against terrorism depended on cooperation between local communities and security institutions.

The visit also comes amid an evolving debate in Balochistan over terrorism, separatist narratives and public support for state institutions.

Recently, Panjgur resident Khadeeja Ghayyaz publicly announced her disassociation from the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), expressed regret over anti-state sloganeering and reaffirmed her loyalty to Pakistan and its institutions.

Her statement surfaced at a time when provincial authorities claim to have obtained evidence regarding alleged links between the BYC and banned terrorist organizations including the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).

Security officials maintain that the people of Balochistan continue rejecting terrorism and standing alongside state institutions against attempts aimed at destabilizing the province.
