Massive Arms Cache Seized, Human Smuggling Network Busted in Back-to-Back Balochistan Operations

Security forces conducted multiple successful intelligence-based operations across Balochistan, resulting in the seizure of a large cache of arms and ammunition and the arrest of illegal Afghan nationals involved in human smuggling activities, official sources confirmed on Thursday.

In a key operation conducted in the Ghunna Kalatak area, security forces intercepted a terrorist vehicle suspected of smuggling a significant quantity of arms, ammunition, and explosive material across the border. Upon interception, the suspects opened fire on security personnel. However, due to the swift and professional response of the forces, the attackers were forced to flee the scene.

Authorities confirmed that a substantial cache of weapons and explosives was recovered from the vehicle, preventing what officials described as a potential major terrorist incident. The timely action averted a possible large-scale threat to regional security and civilian life.

Security sources stated that the recovered material is being examined as part of an ongoing investigation aimed at identifying the network involved in cross-border arms smuggling and terrorist facilitation.

In a separate but coordinated operation, the Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) successfully dismantled a human smuggling network operating in the region. During the operation, 30 illegal Afghan nationals, including women and children, were arrested.

Officials indicated that the group was allegedly being moved through unauthorized routes as part of an organized human trafficking and illegal migration network. Further investigation is underway to identify facilitators and transport networks involved in the operation.

Security officials emphasized that both operations reflect the continued resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to counter terrorism, dismantle smuggling networks, and prevent illegal cross-border infiltration. Authorities reiterated that operations across Balochistan will continue with enhanced vigilance and intelligence coordination to ensure the complete eradication of terrorist facilitation networks and criminal smuggling routes.
