Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation against elements affiliated with the banned outfit Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in the Raskoh region of Chagai District, resulting in the killing of one terrorist and the recovery of a cache of weapons.
According to details, the operation took place on May 4, 2026, when a Special Operations team encountered a group of approximately four to six suspected BLA terrorists near Killi Erri Kalag. The troops were returning from a surveillance mission in the broader Raskoh area when they came under fire.
A brief but intense exchange followed, during which one terrorist was killed and another sustained injuries. The remaining assailants fled towards the rugged mountainous terrain of Raskoh.
Following the engagement, security forces secured the area and conducted a clearance operation. A cache of weapons and materials was recovered, including a submachine gun (SMG) with multiple magazines, a handgun, approximately 125 rounds of ammunition, a bandolier, and materials believed to be linked to the BLA’s operational network.
Officials stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist activity and maintain stability in Balochistan. No casualties among security personnel were reported.
A follow-up search operation remains underway to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspects. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to continuing intelligence-led operations to ensure peace and security across the region.
