Security forces successfully foiled a cross-border infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Chaman sector of Balochistan, in yet another incident reflecting continued attempts by terrorists to breach frontier security positions.
According to security sources, a group of terrorists attempted to infiltrate Pakistani territory from across the border. The attempt was detected in time, prompting a swift and coordinated response from security forces deployed in the area.
During the ensuing engagement, 11 terrorists were killed on the spot, while several others sustained injuries. Security sources further confirmed that multiple enemy positions across the border were also targeted and effectively neutralized during the response.
Officials described the operation as timely and decisive, preventing what could have escalated into a larger security breach. Clearance and area sanitization operations were subsequently carried out to ensure no further threat remained in the vicinity.
The Chaman sector has repeatedly witnessed such infiltration attempts in the past, including earlier high-intensity engagements such as the Sambaza operations, where similar cross-border movement by terrorist elements was successfully repelled by security forces.
Security observers note that repeated attempts of this nature indicate continued pressure along the border regions, requiring sustained vigilance and rapid response mechanisms from deployed units.
Officials reiterated that any attempt to violate Pakistan’s territorial integrity would be met with immediate and forceful action, in line with existing security protocols along the border regions.
