In a major counterterrorism operation, Loralai Police foiled a planned terrorist plot in the Pori Tuk area, recovering a large cache of explosives and ammunition intended for attacks across Balochistan.
According to police sources, the operation led to the seizure of approximately 10 kilograms of TNT, 8 kilograms of black explosive material, four improvised explosive devices, and 11 detonators. Authorities also recovered six meters of safety fuse, 11 meters of detonation cord, and 165 rounds of submachine gun ammunition along with ball bearings.
Initial investigations indicate that the terrorists had planned to transport the material to multiple locations within the province, potentially targeting civilians and security installations in coordinated attacks.
Officials said the timely action by Loralai Police averted a major tragedy, preventing significant loss of life and damage.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General Junaid Ahmed, whose leadership was credited for the successful interception of the plot.
