Security forces conducted a large-scale joint search and strike operation in border areas of Lakki Marwat, stepping up efforts against terrorists and their facilitators in sensitive zones adjoining Dera Ismail Khan.
The operation, carried out by district police in coordination with counterterrorism units, focused on multiple villages and rugged mountainous terrain known for terrorist movement and hideouts.
A heavy deployment of security personnel took part in the operation, supported by armored vehicles, rapid response units, elite commandos, and bomb disposal teams, reflecting a coordinated and high-intensity approach.
During the operation, security teams carried out thorough snap checking at key entry and exit points, searched abandoned structures, and conducted data verification using modern surveillance systems. Raids were also conducted on suspected terrorist hideouts to dismantle operational networks and disrupt logistical support channels.
Sustained Pressure on Terror Infrastructure
The operation underscores an intensified counterterror strategy aimed at eliminating terrorist presence and denying them operational space in border regions. By targeting both terrorists and their facilitators, security forces are working to break the chain sustaining terrorist activity.
Security officials said intelligence-based operations will continue to preempt threats and ensure lasting stability in vulnerable areas.
