Iran Claims Missile Strikes on US Military Sites in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain; Issues Warning Over Energy Infrastructure

Iran has claimed to have carried out missile and drone strikes targeting United States military-linked sites in the region, while also issuing a stern warning over potential attacks on its energy infrastructure.

  1. A spokesperson for Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that Iran targeted the Prince Sultan Air Base, describing it as a key hub for US military activity in Saudi Arabia. The spokesperson claimed that American reconnaissance aircraft at the base were struck using ballistic missiles.

The statement further claimed that Iran also targeted the US Navy’s United States Fifth Fleet in Bahrain through a combination of missile and drone attacks.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a separate statement warning of direct retaliation in response to any attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure.

The IRGC said that if the United States or Israel were to target Iran’s power systems, Tehran would respond in kind. The statement warned that any strike on Iranian power plants would be met with attacks on Israeli electricity infrastructure as well as power facilities supplying US bases in the region.

The developments signal a sharp escalation in rhetoric and claimed military activity, raising concerns about potential wider regional tensions involving key US military assets and critical infrastructure.
