Security forces killed three members of Fitna-al-Khawarij in two separate operations conducted over the past two days in Tank district and Khyber, while one security personnel embraced martyrdom during an exchange of fire, according to official reports.
The operations were carried out as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate the threat posed by Fitna-al-Khawarij in sensitive areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Tank district, security forces engaged the suspects during an intelligence-based operation, resulting in their killing after a brief but intense exchange of fire.
In a separate operation in Khyber, troops confronted another group, triggering a gun battle in which additional suspects were neutralised. However, during the exchange, one security personnel lost his life in the line of duty.
Officials said the operations reflect the continued resolve of security forces to dismantle such networks and prevent their movement across key areas. A search and clearance operation was also conducted in the respective locations to ensure no further threat remained.
Security sources reaffirmed that operations against Fitna-al-Khawarij would continue until the complete restoration of peace in the region.
