Security forces eliminated seven militants, including a suicide bomber, during an intelligence-based operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the district of Pishin, officials confirmed.
According to security sources, the militants were attempting to infiltrate Pakistani territory for sabotage activities when they were intercepted. Forces engaged the group in a targeted action, resulting in the elimination of all seven members of the formation. The presence of a suicide bomber among the group indicates the intended scale of the planned attack.
In a separate intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four additional militants were neutralized during an exchange of fire with security personnel.
Officials stated that both operations were conducted on actionable intelligence regarding the movement and presence of militant elements. The areas have been cleared, and follow-up search operations are underway to ensure no remaining threats persist.
Security forces reiterated their resolve to prevent cross-border infiltration and dismantle militant networks operating in border and southern districts.
