Residents of Bajaur have announced a social boycott of three villages in Mamund, identified as harboring facilitators of the Khwarij involved in the Malangi post attack.
The villages of Anga, Shakro, and Shahi Tangi were reported to have provided shelter to the Khwarij operatives, including Tahir alias Maula, Ismail alias Umar, and Ilyas alias Malang Bacha, who participated in the deadly assault on the Malangi checkpoint.
Khwarij Facilitation Unacceptable
The local population has strongly condemned the support provided to these militants. In a collective move, they have socially boycotted the three villages until the facilitators are brought to justice.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Takes Action
The provincial government has announced bounties of five crore rupees each for information leading to the capture, dead or alive, of the three Khwarij operatives. This step aims to dismantle the networks that aided the suicide attack and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying operations against all Khwarij networks in the region. Legal action will also target those who assisted or facilitated the terrorists. Officials emphasized that the operation would continue until all terrorist and their local collaborators are neutralized.
Protecting Civilians and Enforcing Justice
Security officials have highlighted the importance of local cooperation in tracking down the militants. Rewards will be offered to anyone providing actionable information about the whereabouts of these individuals. The campaign is part of a broader effort to ensure that those who attack innocent civilians cannot find shelter or support within the community.
The provincial government, alongside all state institutions, has vowed to relentlessly pursue Khwarij elements until they meet a conclusive, punitive end, setting an example for all terrorist facilitators and supporters.
