In a major security operation, Sindh Rangers and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Karachi jointly conducted a raid in Korangi Chakra Goth, resulting in the arrest of three highly wanted facilitators of the banned organization Fitna al Hindustan.
The apprehended suspects have been identified as Yasir Arfat, Khuda Bakhsh, and Zahid Hussain, also known as Barkzai. Authorities reported that the suspects were found in possession of five kilograms of explosive material, 10 meters of primer cord, three detonators, and one kilogram of ball bearings, intended for use in acts of terrorism targeting sensitive areas across Karachi.
Officials further disclosed that the suspects were in possession of 250 books promoting extremist ideologies and a laptop, used to propagate radical thought and recruit students from various colleges and universities into the banned organization. The individuals were actively involved in indoctrination and the dissemination of extremist literature to facilitate recruitment among young students.
Rangers authorities stated that the suspects had hidden explosive materials at secret locations across the city, intended for potential terrorist attacks. The prompt intervention prevented any imminent threat to public safety. Following their arrest, the suspects have been handed over to police authorities for further legal proceedings and investigation.
“This operation underscores the commitment of Sindh Rangers and CTD to neutralizing terror networks, disrupting recruitment pipelines, and preventing attacks on civilian populations,” a spokesperson said.
Security officials continue to monitor extremist activities in urban areas, emphasizing that vigilance, intelligence-driven operations, and community awareness remain key to maintaining public safety.
