The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that on 4th and 5th February 2026, Pakistan Security Forces successfully conducted intelligence-based counterterrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, resulting in the elimination of 24 militants affiliated with the Indian-sponsored proxy group, Fitna Al Khwarij.
Based on actionable intelligence, Security Forces launched a targeted operation in Orakzai District. During the operation, troops engaged the militants in a precision strike, leading to an intense exchange of fire. As a result, 14 militants were neutralized, disrupting the hostile elements’ operational capability in the area.
Simultaneously, another intelligence-driven operation was carried out in Khyber District, where Security Forces engaged militants in close combat, effectively neutralizing 10 more khwarij.
Following these operations, sanitization and clearance measures are being conducted to locate and eliminate any remaining militants in the region. Security Forces, in coordination with Law Enforcement Agencies, remain vigilant and fully committed to safeguarding the people of Pakistan.
These operations form part of the ongoing relentless Counter-Terrorism campaign under the national vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan. The campaign aims to eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country and ensure lasting security across Pakistan.
The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s Security Forces remain steadfast in their mission to neutralize threats to national security and maintain law and order. These operations demonstrate the high level of preparedness, professionalism, and resolve of the Security Forces to confront and eliminate terrorist networks attempting to destabilize the country.
Pakistan continues to call on regional and international partners to support the country’s efforts to combat terrorism and curb the influence of foreign-sponsored militant groups.
