The National Resistance Front (NRF) has claimed that five Taliban fighters were killed in three separate counterterrorism operations carried out over the past few days in Afghanistan’s western Herat province.

The second operation was conducted on January 24 at approximately 6:00 pm in the industrial area of Guzara district. During this operation, one Taliban fighter was killed and a weapon was seized.
The third operation occurred on January 25 at around 7:00 pm on Majidi Road in Herat city. NRF stated that the target was a Taliban intelligence militia unit, and two of its members were killed during the attack.
The NRF said that none of its fighters were killed or injured in any of the operations. It further stated that such actions will continue in different parts of the country, with the stated objective of ending what it described as the Taliban’s illegal rule.
