Pakistan’s security forces conducted a successful counter-terrorism operation in the Tirah area, delivering a decisive blow to elements of Fitna-al-Khawarij operating in the region. The operation was initiated after a surveillance drone detected suspicious movement linked to terrorists associated with the proscribed TTP Fitna-al-Khawarij. Acting on real-time intelligence, the security forces’ control room immediately mobilized a Quick Response Force to the area.
Upon reaching the location, troops swiftly cordoned off the suspected hideout and advanced toward the designated targets under continuous drone guidance. The operation was formally launched with precision and coordination to ensure maximum effectiveness and containment of hostile elements.
During the course of the operation, security forces encountered intense resistance, resulting in a heavy exchange of fire. Demonstrating professionalism, courage, and superior tactical response, the troops effectively engaged the terrorists. As a result, three Khawarij were neutralized, while one terrorist was apprehended in an injured condition.
During the firefight, one brave soldier of the security forces sustained injuries due to enemy fire. He was immediately evacuated and is receiving prompt medical treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.
