CTD Hyderabad Foils Subversive Plot in Jamshoro

Acting on credible intelligence received from a sensitive source, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Hyderabad successfully carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Jamshoro district, thwarting a planned attempt to disrupt public order and national security.

During the operation, CTD personnel conducted a targeted raid on a residential premises, where they recovered a substantial quantity of materials linked to a proscribed organization. The seized items included banners, pamphlets, placards, and other content containing anti-Pakistan slogans and narratives.

According to security sources, the recovered material was intended for use on January 17 in activities involving anti-state slogans, provocative speeches, and public gatherings aimed at inciting unrest. Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspects were planning to exploit the occasion to create chaos and seriously undermine peace and stability in the area.

Following the raid, the surrounding locality was immediately cordoned off to ensure public safety and to prevent any further unlawful activity. While some suspects managed to flee during the operation, security forces have launched an extensive manhunt to apprehend those involved.

Security officials have confirmed that further investigations are underway to identify the network, its facilitators, and possible links to other subversive activities. Authorities have expressed confidence that arrests will be made soon and emphasized that no individual or group will be allowed to jeopardize the country’s peace and security.
