Deadly Power Struggle Breaks Out Between BLA and BLF Militants

Credible security sources have confirmed the outbreak of violent internal clashes between two outlawed militant organizations operating in the region, the so-called Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), exposing deep fractures within militant networks active along the Pakistan–Iran frontier.

According to the sources, the confrontation has escalated into open armed conflict, with both groups reportedly targeting each other’s leadership and operational cadres. As a result of the clashes, at least eight BLF terrorists and three BLA terrorists have been killed so far.

The fighting has not been confined to a single location. Sources indicate that these deadly exchanges have taken place across multiple areas in both Pakistan and Iran, underscoring the transnational nature of militant activity in the border regions and highlighting growing instability within extremist ranks.

Security officials say the clashes stem from long-standing rivalries, internal power struggles, and competition over resources, influence, and territorial control. Both groups are reportedly launching coordinated attacks aimed specifically at eliminating rival commanders, suggesting a deliberate effort to weaken each other’s operational command structures.

Analysts view the infighting as a sign of increasing fragmentation among banned militant outfits, which are under sustained pressure from security forces. While such internal conflicts may temporarily disrupt terrorist operations, experts caution that instability within these groups can also lead to unpredictable violence and heightened risks for civilians in border areas.

Authorities on both sides of the border are closely monitoring the situation, as the evolving conflict between the two organizations could further alter the regional security landscape.
