Terrorists targeted the vehicle of the Assistant Commissioner of North Waziristan on Miranshah Road in Bannu, killing one and two police personnel civilian and injuring three police officers in a brazen assault, local sources confirmed. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants opened fire on the official convoy in broad daylight. During the attack, the terrorists also snatched firearms from the wounded police personnel before fleeing the scene. Authorities are investigating the attack, which underscores the continuing threat posed by militant elements in the region.
Following the incident, police and security forces rushed to the site to secure the area, provide medical assistance to the injured, and launch search operations to apprehend the perpetrators. The deceased civilian’s body has been moved to a local mortuary, and the injured officers are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
