Hangu–Thall Road Erupts in Intense Exchange of Fire as Security Forces Neutralise Six Khawarij

Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on the Hangu–Thall Road on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of Khawarij in the area.

During the operation, security forces engaged the Khawarij in an intense exchange of fire. According to the information available so far, six Khawarij were killed, while several others are reported to have sustained injuries during the engagement.

The operation was launched following actionable intelligence regarding the presence and movement of Khawarij in the area. Security forces responded effectively to the hostile fire and continued the operation with determination to neutralise the threat and prevent the Khawarij from exploiting the area for further hostile activities.

During the exchange of fire, a military vehicle of the security forces was also hit by Khawarij fire and caught fire. Preliminary reports indicate that some security personnel sustained injuries, while reports regarding casualties among the security forces are still being verified.

Following the intense engagement, additional contingents of security forces have been dispatched to the area to reinforce the ongoing operation and further strengthen the security cordon. The surrounding area has been effectively cordoned off, with security forces maintaining heightened vigilance to prevent any remaining Khawarij from escaping.

The exchange of fire and the operation against the remaining Khawarij is continuing, while security forces are conducting a systematic clearance and search of the area. The situation remains under close observation, and further details regarding casualties and the final outcome of the operation will be shared once verified through official channels.
