In a decisive encounter in Swabi, within the jurisdiction of Thana Topi, police forces engaged in a firefight with armed terrorists, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists. Weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the deceased, who have been identified as Yasir and Saeed-ur-Rahman. Both were involved in a grenade attack at Chokki Kalabatt, in which Constable Noor Kamal Shah was martyred.
In a related development, investigations into the recent attack on the Frontier Constabulary Headquarters in Peshawar have been launched. The attackers’ remains have been sent for DNA testing to support forensic analysis. According to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), all three attackers had arrived at the site on a single motorcycle, traveling via Kohat Road and Civil Quarter. The motorcycle used in the attack has also been seized as evidence.
