No Pakistani Air Strikes in Afghanistan: Kabul’s Allegations Exposed as False

Pakistan strongly rejects recent claims circulating in Afghan media and on social media alleging that Pakistani forces conducted air strikes inside Afghanistan. These allegations are entirely false and appear to be part of a continuing pattern in which Afghanistan seeks to shift responsibility for its internal security challenges onto Pakistan.

Official sources clarified that Pakistan never conducts operations secretly. Any legitimate air strike or cross-border operation carried out by Pakistan is always publicly acknowledged in a timely and transparent manner. The recent reports of explosions in Afghanistan’s eastern and southern provinces are most likely the result of internal feuds, infighting among militant groups, or potentially staged incidents orchestrated by Indian agents infiltrated among the Khawarij, a pattern that has been repeatedly observed in the region.

The Pakistani military emphasized that photographs and videos being circulated on social media regarding these alleged strikes are mostly outdated, doctored, or manipulated, reflecting an attempt to manufacture a false narrative. Such efforts coincide with Afghanistan’s current political and security pressures, where Kabul is acutely aware of Pakistan’s legitimate right to respond following a series of terrorist attacks targeting Islamabad, Wana Cadet College, and Peshawar.

Officials warned that Pakistan’s response to any aggression or security threat is carefully calculated and clearly communicated, as demonstrated during prior operations, including the October 2025 cross-border counterterrorism measures in Kabul. Any actual operations undertaken by Pakistan will be publicly confirmed, leaving no room for misrepresentation or speculation.

The false narrative is being actively supported and amplified by India, Afghanistan’s “new best friend,” which is using social media channels to propagate anti-Pakistan propaganda and mislead international opinion. Pakistan categorically stated that it remains fully committed to regional stability, transparency in counterterrorism operations, and responsible military conduct, and will continue to take decisive action against terrorist groups targeting Pakistani citizens and territory.

Pakistan’s official position remains clear: it will defend its sovereignty, security, and citizens against terrorist attacks, while exposing any fabricated narratives aimed at blaming Pakistan for events originating within Afghanistan. Attempts to deflect responsibility or manipulate global perception will not deter Pakistan from continuing its legitimate, measured, and lawful counterterrorism efforts.
