PTI Has Consistently Backed Terrorists on Every Forum, Claims Information Minister Attaullah Tarar

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that Imran Khan and his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), have consistently acted as supporters and facilitators of terrorists at every forum, both nationally and internationally. He declared that the nation stands united against terrorism and vowed that the government will defeat extremists under the National Action Plan with full resolve.

Speaking to media representatives, the minister paid rich tribute to the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army who have bravely fought and defeated terrorism. He said that certain elements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are obstructing peace and stability in the province, adding that PTI  which he described as the “Tehreek-e-Intishar” (Movement of Anarchy) is the only political group that has shown complete disregard for the sacrifices of martyrs and the integrity of the country.

Tarar said the PTI’s only concern has been to create division, destabilize the province, and provide safe havens to terrorists. “Imran Khan and his party have a long history of sympathizing with and facilitating terrorists on global platforms,” he said, adding that their political narrative consistently aligns with forces seeking to weaken Pakistan’s internal security.

The information minister said that Pakistan is the only nation in the world whose children have sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism. Referring to the Army Public School (APS) tragedy and the Khuzdar incident, he said, “The children of Pakistan wrote a chapter of sacrifice with their blood. How can we forget their courage? One man lost three of his children in an attack and still said, with pride, that he is ready to lay down his own life for Pakistan.”

Tarar praised the resilience of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, calling them “a symbol of unmatched sacrifice and bravery.” He said that every segment of society — soldiers, civilians, traders, doctors, engineers, and children — has played a defining role in the nation’s struggle against terrorism.

He reaffirmed the government’s decision to eliminate terrorism under the National Action Plan, saying, “The entire nation is united to root out terrorism once and for all. We cannot forget the sacrifices of our soldiers and children. The sacrifices of patriotic Pakistanis are written in history.”

The minister reminded that the Pakistan Army, through successful operations like Zarb-e-Azb and Radd-ul-Fasaad, defeated terrorism, restoring life to markets, peace to mosques, and vibrancy to sports grounds. He condemned attacks on places of worship, saying that the perpetrators of such acts have no connection to religion or Islam. “The blood of our clerics, too, has nourished the soil of this nation,” he remarked.

Tarar said that those now attempting to exploit national tragedies for political gain are acting against the spirit of unity. “A person sitting in jail wishes to build his politics on corpses,” he said, contrasting this with the Pakistan People’s Party’s historic call of ‘Pakistan Khappay’ (Long Live Pakistan) in the face of tragedy.

He concluded by emphasizing that the government, the people, and the armed forces stand shoulder to shoulder in their commitment to safeguard Pakistan’s stability, unity, and sovereignty.
