After successfully thwarting the nefarious designs of the Khawarij in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, Pakistan’s security forces have now averted another major terror plot in Bajaur by defusing a large cache of explosives planted to cause mass destruction.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), timely action by law enforcement agencies led to the neutralisation of explosive devices planted by Khawarij in various locations across Bajaur. The region was saved from what could have been a devastating incident.
Security personnel, acting on intelligence and employing professional expertise and strict safety protocols, recovered and safely defused the explosive materials. No casualties or property damage occurred during the operation, and all suspicious items were rendered harmless without incident.
Officials stated that the explosives were planted with the malicious intent of spreading chaos and bloodshed. However, the vigilance and swift response of security forces once again foiled the Khawarij’s disruptive agenda.
Local residents have expressed relief and appreciation for the prompt and effective action taken by security institutions, acknowledging their role in preserving peace in the area.
Earlier the same day, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mir Ali, Tehsil of North Waziristan, seizing a massive cache of arms and explosives, successfully dismantling what officials described as a “major terrorist plot.”
Security officials believe the recovered arsenal was intended for high-impact terrorist attacks in urban and sensitive areas. These back-to-back counter-terrorism successes underscore the continued vigilance of Pakistan’s security forces in disrupting terror networks and safeguarding civilian lives.
