Security Forces Eliminate Key Afghan Khariji Commander in Bajaur Operation

Pakistan’s security forces have achieved a major success in their ongoing operation against the fitna-e-Khawarij, killing a notorious Afghan Khawarij commander, Pir Agha Khandari, during an intelligence-based operation in the Gabrai area of Bajaur district.

According to official sources, the operation was launched on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of high-profile Khawarij elements involved in recent attacks and cross-border infiltration. During the intense exchange of fire, the key Afghan Khawarij commander, Pir Agha Khandari, was killed, marking a significant blow to the network attempting to destabilize the region.

Local and security sources confirmed that Pir Agha Khandari was among the most wanted Khawarij figures in the area, responsible for orchestrating multiple acts of violence and facilitating anti-state activities from across the border. His elimination has been described as a crucial step towards dismantling the Khawarij command structure operating along the Pak-Afghan frontier.

The so-called Khawarij commander of Bajaur, Malang Badshah, has himself confirmed the death of Pir Agha Khandari, acknowledging the severe impact of the operation on the Khawarij network’s operational capacity. Security observers believe that this success has not only weakened their presence but also disrupted their communication and recruitment chain in the tribal belt.

A senior security official lauded the operation as a “decisive advancement in the national campaign against the Fitna-e-Khawarij,” reaffirming that Pakistan’s security forces will continue their relentless efforts until the complete eradication of such elements. “The blood of our martyrs compels us to ensure that no trace of this deviant ideology survives on our soil,” the official stated.

The successful neutralization of the Afghan Khawarij commander is being viewed as a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to restore enduring peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s border districts. Over the past months, several Khawarij networks have been dismantled in targeted operations, reflecting the state’s uncompromising resolve to eliminate those exploiting religion for violence and chaos.

Security sources added that further intelligence-led actions are underway to track remaining members of the Khawarij network in Bajaur and adjoining areas, with full support from local communities committed to maintaining peace and rejecting extremist ideology.

Officials reaffirmed that Pakistan’s resolve against the fitna-e-Khawarij remains unshaken, and operations will continue with full force until the last of these elements is neutralized, ensuring lasting peace for the people of the region and the country.
