Tur Dil, also known as Gohar, a senior commander of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and a high-value target with a PKR 10 million bounty on his head, has been killed during recent security operations in Bajaur, officials confirmed.
The militant, a resident of Malangi village in Tehsil Loi Mamund, sustained critical injuries during clashes with security forces and later succumbed to his wounds in the Warah Kharki area, where he was subsequently buried. Authorities described Tur Dil as a key operative in targeted killings of local residents suspected of providing intelligence to the military. His elimination marks a significant blow to TTP networks operating in the region.
Local sources reported that a condolence gathering was held at the central mosque of Sagi Manz village. Family representatives have announced additional mourning events in Kunar and Ghazni in the coming days. Security officials emphasized that the killing of Tur Dil demonstrates the ongoing commitment of Pakistani forces to neutralize high-value militant leaders and dismantle terrorist networks threatening regional stability.
