Pakistani security forces eliminated four terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Dasht tehsil of Kech district, Balochistan.
According to security sources, credible intelligence was received regarding the presence of Indian-backed militants in the village of Khaddan. Acting swiftly, security forces launched a coordinated operation, surrounding the hideout and effectively neutralising four terrorists after a brief engagement. Following the operation, the bodies were taken into custody.
A significant cache of arms, ammunition, and one motorcycle were recovered from the scene.
This operation comes amid a surge in militant activity in the region. Over the past few days, Dasht has become a hotbed of terrorist activity by India-backed elements. Just a day earlier, terrorists targeted a security convoy near Kunchati Cross using an explosives-laden vehicle. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of two soldiers; however, security forces responded swiftly, eliminating six terrorists in the ensuing exchange of fire.
Two days prior, security forces killed two more terrorists; also believed to be backed by India, during another IBO in the same district. Among those eliminated was Atique Miran, a key commander of the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF). On the same day, five additional Fitna al-Hindustan operatives were killed in a separate operation in the Sherbandi area of Kech.
The recent string of successful operations reflects a sharp escalation in Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign in Balochistan, targeting what officials describe as “Indian-sponsored terrorist proxies” operating along the southwestern frontier.
Security officials reaffirm that such operations will continue until all militant elements are dismantled and peace is fully restored in the region.
