The ISPR further said that the legacy of martyrs and heroes would remain eternal, as the entire nation salutes the sacrifices of its martyrs, veterans, and their families who rendered unparalleled contributions for the defence of the country.
The statement reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain resolute against external aggression and terrorism, while also standing shoulder to shoulder with the people during natural disasters and national emergencies. It added that relief operations for flood-affected citizens would continue, and Defence and Martyrs Day would be observed with utmost humility and reverence.
The ISPR emphasized that the Armed Forces renew their pledge to uphold the sacred trust reposed in them by the nation. “The Armed Forces remain ever vigilant and fully prepared to confront any threat. Every attempt to undermine peace will be met with a decisive and befitting response,” it said.
