A cowardly act of violence by the Khawarij in Baka Khel Takhti Khel, a suburban area of Bannu district, left an innocent family as its latest victim. According to sources, the Khawarij carried out a drone strike intended to target the Baka Khel police station and an FC fort. One of the projectiles struck a residential house, causing severe injuries to two women and a young girl inside. The injured were immediately shifted to Bannu Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The attack caused extensive damage to the house, while livestock inside the premises were also harmed. The powerful blast spread panic and fear across the locality. Residents strongly condemned the incident, calling it a cowardly and inhumane act by the Khawarij. They said targeting innocent civilians was the height of brutality and ignorance, and such elements deserved no leniency.
Locals urged the government and security agencies to launch an immediate and decisive operation against the Khawarij, apprehend those responsible, and make an example of them. They also called for full financial compensation and medical assistance to be provided to the affected family.
