Terrorists Cannot Derail Balochistan’s Future, Says DG ISPR

Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reaffirmed that the people of Balochistan are inextricably linked to Pakistan through deep-rooted ties of history, religion, culture, and tradition, asserting that no handful of terrorists can hold hostage the peace, prosperity, and progress of the province or the nation at large.

Speaking at King Edward Medical University (KEMU) in Lahore during an interactive session with students, the DG ISPR received an enthusiastic welcome from the academic community. His visit marked a significant engagement aimed at strengthening civil-military understanding among the country’s youth.

Addressing the students, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry highlighted the strategic brilliance and operational success of Pakistan’s Armed Forces during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsous. He described it as a landmark campaign in the war against terrorism, noting that the unwavering support of the people especially the youth—was pivotal in turning the tide. “It was not just a military operation; it was a national movement against falsehood, and we emerged victorious because the truth was on our side,” he remarked.

He further emphasized that Kashmir is, was, and will forever remain the jugular vein of Pakistan, reiterating the Armed Forces’ unflinching commitment to the cause.

On the situation in Balochistan, Lieutenant General Chaudhry rejected the narrative of despair and conflict peddled by anti-state elements. “The Baloch people are patriotic, dignified, and proud Pakistanis. Their future lies with a united, stable, and prosperous Pakistan. A small group of terrorists cannot and will not be allowed to sabotage this destiny,” he declared.

The students of King Edward Medical University paid glowing tribute to the Armed Forces for their sacrifices and achievements in securing the country and praised the success of Operation Bunyad-ul-Marsous as a defining chapter in Pakistan’s fight against terrorism. They also expressed a strong desire for more such interactive sessions, aimed at enhancing national awareness and unity.

The session concluded with a collective reaffirmation of faith in Pakistan’s institutions and a resounding message: that no force can divide a nation bonded by sacrifice, conviction, and a shared vision for peace.
