Security forces successfully foiled a cross-border infiltration attempt by terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) in the Taspalai, a remote locality in North Waziristan, near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

According to official sources, thermal imaging systems detected suspicious movement across the border late last night. The surveillance triggered an immediate and precision-guided response from nearby security posts.

The retaliatory fire resulted in the elimination of four Khawarij, whose bodies were observed being retrieved by their fleeing accomplices. The swift action created panic within the group, forcing them to abandon several items during their retreat.

Among the recovered materials were a 7.62mm rifle (Serial No. E3617) with its magazine, 18 rounds, 64 M4 rounds, a surveillance device, a basic mobile phone, blood-stained joggers, wire-cutting tools, and packaged food and medical supplies reportedly manufactured in India, suggesting possible cross-border support.

A clearance and search operation is currently underway to track and neutralise any remaining elements in the vicinity. Security forces remain alert and committed to ensuring that the border remains impenetrable to Khawarij-backed incursions.

Officials reaffirmed that any attempt to sabotage national peace and stability will be met with a firm and timely response.
