IS-KP Driven Out from Mastung, Terrorists Regrouping in Karachi

Terrorists from Fitna al-Hindustan, or the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), have reportedly expelled the last remaining members of the Islamic State Khorasan Province (IS-KP) from the Mastung region of Balochistan, effectively ending the group’s operational presence there, sources reported.

The development follows an earlier BLA raid on an IS-KP hideout in Mastung in mid-March, an operation that was later acknowledged by IS-KP itself. In the aftermath, IS-KP had issued a public statement threatening retaliation against the Baloch terror group.

While IS-KP’s presence in Mastung has been dismantled, sources indicate that some of the group’s operatives have shifted to Karachi, where they are reportedly engaged in online propaganda and media activity. These terrorists are said to be leveraging local networks and suspected financial backing from anti-state elements to continue their operations.

The situation highlights the evolving landscape of militant activity in Pakistan, with separatist groups and transnational terrorist factions clashing over territorial influence and ideological dominance.
