In yet another targeted killing, khawarij brutally martyred a serving soldier while on leave near Pezu police station limits, in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to local sources, Lance Naik Mir Badshah, son of Ghulam Qadir and a resident of Malazai, Lakki Marwat, was travelling home on leave from his post when he was intercepted by armed terrorists, widely believed to be affiliated with the outlawed Fitna al-Khawarij.

The attackers reportedly stopped his vehicle at an illegal checkpoint, forcibly pulled him out, and opened fire at close range, killing him on the spot. The targeted nature of the killing points toward a deliberate effort by khawarij to intimidate security forces and undermine morale in the restive southern districts of the province.

This incident reflects a growing and disturbing trend in the region, where off-duty personnel, teachers, and even local pro-peace figures have become soft targets for terrorist groups seeking to spread fear and disrupt civilian life.

The martyrdom of Lance Naik Mir Badshah is a painful reminder of the personal sacrifices being made by Pakistan’s security forces, not only on the battlefield, but also in their homes and communities. His death leaves behind grieving family members and a community once again shaken by extremist violence.

Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to track down the perpetrators.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to pursue the killers and reaffirmed that such cowardly attacks will not weaken the resolve of the nation. The sacrifice of soldiers like Mir Badshah strengthens Pakistan’s determination to rid its soil of extremism, and to ensure peace and justice prevail.
